Cyber Korp has taken a customer-centric approach to creating IT solutions since the beginning. Our development process is based on Agile principles that build customer feedback into our software development and iteration cycles. Agile methods have been in our DNA since our inception. So, our software directly addresses and solves our clients’ problems.
Cyber Korp started in 1996 as an IT staffing firm based in Virginia. The company HQ moved to the Chicago area in 2002, where it is today. In 2005, we built our Chicago delivery center specifically to foster our Agile approach to software development.
Customers found our approach to be so iterative and flexible, that they started bringing our Agile principles in-house to guide their own software production. So, in 2006, our Chicago delivery center began offering long-term application support and maintenance to help clients implement the Agile principles.
By this time, Cyber Korp had a strong base of Financial Services customers, dating back to 2000. In 2007 it became apparent that our in-house domain knowledge should be focused where it could deliver the highest value. This led us to create our Capital Markets vertical. And, a year later, our DW/BI practice started.
In 2009 and 2010, Cyber Korp built expertise in providing solutions for large, international organizations. We served long term agreements with the United Nations (Unified Communication / AD), RMIC (Support / Maintenance), and the nation’s largest Chicago based retailer.
In July 2011, CyberTalk release 2.0 was completed and released as an on-prem solution. By 2015, we had started work with a Fortune 1000 company to validate the product and identify use cases to fill the significant gap in the incident management SaaS marketplace. Nobody was catering to large, multi-team international organizations that needed a cloud-based major incident management solution to protect critical business services and notify stakeholders, customers and business partners.
Cyber Korp had a field tested product, backed by years of expertise in managing major incidents for large organizations.
Thus, AlertOps was born.
